Watts has been named one of America’s Greenest Companies by Newsweek magazine and is recognized among the Top 300 companies in the U.S., based on environmental sustainability for the second year in a row.
The rankings are derived from research and analysis of public data of organizations in the U.S. that meet the minimum standards set by the European Union, widely regarded as the most advanced set of sustainably standards globally. The companies were evaluated and scores on more than 25 parameters, based on greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and sustainability data disclosure and commitments.
“For 150 years, Watts has been a leading provider of technologies and solutions designed to promote safety, energy efficiency and water conservation around the world,” said CEO Bob Pagano. “We are honored to receive this recognition because we have worked hard to promote environmental sustainability within our operations, by supporting our customers with innovations to reduce their environmental impacts, and by protecting the communities where we operate through our water stewardship efforts. We believe that all our actions have a ripple effect and, together, we can combat climate change and preserve our most precious natural resource – water – for generations to come.”
